Heidelberg Retinal Tomography III uses a scanning laser to acquire three dimensional image of the optic nerve and retina.  This image is then compared to averages from previous visits thus allowing for a precise comparison of the nerve fibers' changes over time which is paramount for the early diagnosis and monitoring of ocular diseases such as Glaucoma.

Digital Retina Camera

 

The Cannon Eye Q Lite Digital Retinal Imaging instrument is a state of the art piece of equipment used to increase the efficiency diabetic screening, pathology, documentation, and diagnostic consultation which ultimately leads to a quicker and more accurate diagnosis.  The Eye Q takes a high resolution, 6.3 million  pixels, image of the retina and this digital image is stored with the rest of the patient's records.

The pachymeter is a device used to measure corneal thickness.  The pachymeter is a crucial tool in the treatment and management of Glaucoma.  It is also useful in patients desiring LASIK surgery and for corneal disease.

Testing one's visual field is an essential component in the efficient diagnosis and management glaucoma.  The instrument determines if the an ocular disease has effected one's visual field, and if it has it allows the optometrist to determine the severity of the disease and to track its progression.
